Jonathan Vega

Jonathan Vega joined the Joshi Law Firm in 2025 to continue pursuing his passion for Criminal Defense.
He is an aggressive champion for his clients, meticulously challenging every detail of the prosecution’s case to zealously defend any kind of criminal allegations that his clients may face. Jonathan incorporates his fine-tuned knowledge, legal expertise, and trial strategy into every case to provide the best legal defense possible. Jonathan also focuses on bringing compassion and service into the Criminal Justice System through his fervent advocacy.
Prior to joining the Joshi Law Firm, Jonathan worked at the 18th Judicial Circuit’s Public Defender’s Office where he has defended the most vulnerable indigent clients in cases ranging from 2nd Degree Murder, Burglary w/ Assault or Battery, firearm-related charges, felony Drug Possession, felony Criminal Mischief, DUI, Stalking, Battery Domestic Violence and much, much more. His immaculate precision in trial has repeatedly given his clients the upper hand over the prosecution, frequently preventing the prosecution from meeting their burden during trial, altogether.
Jonathan has lived in Florida for over 25 years. He graduated from Florida International University’s Business School in Miami with his bachelor’s degree in finance, and he acquired his law degree from Barry Law University in Orlando. He has also successfully acquired his Florida State Law Enforcement Certification during his law enforcement training at the police academy, where he obtained first-hand training, insight, and knowledge as to law enforcement practices and procedures, giving him and his clients an advantageous edge in spotting police errors.
During law school, Jonathan was presented with numerous awards and recognition related to his trial team experience at Barry Law University. As an advocate at Barry Law University’s championship trial team, Jonathan was recognized as 1st Place Champion in local and State trial team competitions, including being presented the Best Advocate award by the Florida Justice Association and the Best Individual Performance award by Barry Law University. Jonathan brings these refined abilities with him into every case that he is involved in to protect the fundamental rights of anyone who faces criminal charges.
Also, Jonathan has been a volunteer coach with the University of Central Florida’s trial team, teaching the same trial and advocacy skills that he acquired during his legal journey to the future generation of lawyers.
When he is not fiercely battling the prosecution in the courtroom, Jonathan frequently enjoys kayaking, cooking, and spending time with his family at his horse ranch.
